Arctus are proud to present the first preview release of our new document management system, DocBox.
DocBox brings a unique light-weight approach to document management, and is a breath of fresh air in comparison to other document storage solutions. We've still got a long way to go before it's ready for production use, but the core of the application is fully working and usable today.
DocBox is a Rails application, but we want to make it accessible to as many people as possible. Therefore, our primary distribution is a Windows Installer package that will install DocBox as a service on a Microsoft Windows system. You can also download the Rails project for use on Linux and Mac, or Windows with an existing Rails installation.
Do not use this version of DocBox for storing important or sensitive documents. We can not guarantee the reliability of this beta release.
